Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day is fast approaching, and one of the most anticipated events of the year is, of course, the annual parade. Every year, Malaysians gather behind barricades along the roadsides to witness the colourful displays and performances, with some even camping out from the early hours of the morning to secure the best view.

That said, we understand such grand events can be overwhelming for some. Another way to mark Merdeka and the upcoming Malaysia Day is by enjoying the latest food and beverage promotions from both local and global brands. Here are some of the deals you won’t want to miss before they end:

1. Coolblog

In conjunction with National Day, Coolblog is giving away 10,000 free full-size Iced Teh Tarik to customers who call out “I Love Malaysia” at selected stores nationwide on 31st August. The free drinks giveaway is part of a month-long celebration of Coolblog’s 20th anniversary, as a way to appreciate its customers and communities who have supported them through the years.

Under the “20 Tahun Still Cool” campaign, happening from 25th August – 21st September 2025, customers can also look forward to “Cool Deals” offering a 20% discount to their best sellers and low price tags of RM3, RM4 and RM5 to selected drinks and waffles with any purchase. Tear & Win cards with every RM15 purchase offering 200,000 instant prizes will join in the celebration from 1st – 21st September 2025.

2. Spritzer

This Merdeka and Hari Malaysia, Spritzer Sparkling is adding an extra pop to the nation’s celebrations with “Kasi Sparkling, Baru Kick!”. This high-energy campaign is a tribute to Malaysia’s favourite pastime – bonding over hearty food and thirst-quenching drinks. From teh ‘o’ to sirap limau and asam boi, Malaysian drinks are iconic in their own right. Spritzer Sparkling is taking these familiar flavours and giving them a bubbly boost at some of your favourite neighbourhood mamak restaurants, creating new taste experiences that blend tradition with modern fun.
