We all have that one friend who loves playing pranks. Well, this friend group nearly died of laughter after their friend came to pick them up in a hearse (aka van jenazah)!
The video was posted on TikTok on 11th September by someone who was part of the group. Reportedly, they had been waiting at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport in Sabah when an unexpected vehicle approached.
The group was shocked to see a hearse rolling up to the entrance with their aptly nicknamed “friend from hell” seated in the front. The group could be heard cackling as they watched the van drive up to them.
“Amazing,” someone was heard saying between giggles. Another friend was quick to open the passenger door, before suggesting the other sit in the back. Amidst their laughter, the person recording obligingly got into the back of the van, only to discover the coffin in the back.
Needless to say, they broke into peals of laughter again. The video was captioned, “POV: When your friend from hell picks you up at the airport” and “Always remembering death“. They weren’t the only ones laughing, however. Netizens too admitted the video too had tickled their funny bone.
“If there aren’t enough seats, someone can lie down (in the coffin),” one joked. Another quipped, “Friend from hell, but sends (you) to heaven.” A netizen also opined that the sight of the hearse at the airport would have flustered security. “His prank is on a different (level),” another opined.
One pointed out that turning the radio on would leave them feeling guilty while another firmly said: “If it were me, I wouldn’t want to sit in the back. Whatever happens, happens, but most importantly, I’m sitting in the front. Even if I’m driving, it’s fine.”
Well, it’s certainly a strange thing to say but we suppose seeing a hearse brightened their day! What do you guys think? Would you have taken the chance to ride the hearse with your “friend from hell”?
