The Hong Kong entertainment industry has lost yet another star. Former Miss Hong Kong pageant runner-up and actress Natalie Ng (吳文忻) has passed away after a prolonged battle with breast cancer. She was 51.
Natalie’s family and friends announced her passing through the actress’s social media account on 9th June 2026, writing, “It is with grief and regret that we inform you Natalie died peacefully in her sleep this morning at the hospital.” The star had been admitted on Sunday night (7th June 2026) and was surrounded by family and close friends during her final days.
Natalie has been battling breast cancer since 2022. Two years later, in August 2024, the star revealed that she had relapsed and that her cancer had returned and progressed to stage four, spreading to her liver, bones and brain. On her social media, she shared her treatment journey, maintaining an optimistic outlook on life.
In the Instagram post announcing her death, her family and friends noted Natalie’s courage throughout her illness. They wrote, “Throughout her battle with cancer, Natalie remained strong and courageous, accomplishing many things she never thought she could in the limited time she had.”
Natalie is also remembered for her positive attitude, with the post writing, “Her positive energy also inspired many others on the same path to face the disease with a positive attitude and confront life’s challenges.” In 2025, the actress released an autobiography, detailing her battle with breast cancer.

It’s also worth noting that Natalie faced other personal hardships during her cancer battle. She divorced her husband after 14 years of marriage in an amicable split. The pair had two daughters, who will continue to be cared for by their father after her passing. In November 2024, she endured the sudden loss of her father, which she had described as a devastating blow.
Many fans and fellow celebrities have begun paying tribute to the late star, including actresses Linda Chung and Sharon Chan and actor Carlos Chan. Natalie’s family said that they will announce funeral arrangements in due course. They also asked for space and understanding during this difficult time.
We extend our condolences to Natalie’s loved ones, and may they find solace during this devastating period. May she rest in peace.
