Ahn Somyi (안솜이) made headlines in the past after it was revealed that she’s now working as an adult streamer after leaving her former group DIA. Following that, the retired idol has been subjected to tons of backlash from the public.
Just recently, Somyi has once again shocked fans with another controversial post on her Instagram. Earlier this week, the former idol shared a selfie photo of herself vaping.
In the photo, the former girl group member was dressed in a light blue satin top, paired with a pair of denim jeans. She can be seen holding the electronic cigarette in her hand, blowing the smoke out of her mouth. At the time of writing (Wednesday, 1st March), the video has received up to 15k likes on Instagram.
However, many netizens left mixed reactions after seeing the photo of Somyi vaping. One fan even took to the comments section to express her irritation towards her action. She wrote, “You’re smoking an e-cigarette. I’m getting tired of this.” Somyi then replied to the fan, making it clear that it was none of her business, saying, “Why do you care whether I smoke or not?” The fan then issued her response to Somyi’s comment. She pointed out that the former idol had changed after leaving her idol days behind.
Despite the heavy criticism, there were also others who came to the defense of the singer. To quote one commentator, “It’s her life, not yours. Let her do what she wants to do.”
