That’s right. In this everyday evolving modern world, you can basically rent almost anything, including a human being!
As bizarre as it may sound, the concept is not exactly new. This type of service is already available in several Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, and China.
In Japan especially, renting people is a booming business. You can rent everything from family to friend, spouse, co-worker, girlfriend / boyfriend or any kind of acquaintance – you named it!
Maybe follows a similar concept, but the services they provide is more of a friendly companionship and definitely no risky business.
Some of the activities Maybe suggest you do with your date include chatting over a coffee, singing karaoke, having dinner, and hangout for a few drinks.
Similar to dating app, the website displays the profiles of potential dates with information such as their self-introduction, height, availability and personal information.
There currently 27 ladies and 4 men available for rent. Their prices range from S$60 to S$200 for a 2 hour date.
Some of the other rules and terms that you need to note are:-
- Strictly no forms of physical contact. Only a friendly handshake and nothing more than that.
- No contact exchange with your date.
- All costs during the date will be paid by you.
- You can only arrange dates in public places.
- Bring another friend and you can share the cost of your date with them.
- If the cancellation is made with less than 3 hours to the scheduled meet-up time, only 50% of the payment will be refunded.
- If the rules are violated, your dates have the right to leave before the specified time ends and no refund will be provided.
With this service, you will no longer be lonely. Also, you can finally can shut your nagging aunts and uncles during family gatherings!
