In some rare cases, couples that call it quits could find a way to patch things up and get back together. After announcing plans to divorce, national football player Faisal Halim recently shared that he and his wife are together again.
In the early hours of 12th September 2025 (Friday), Faisal Halim shared a post on Instagram Stories, hinting that he and his wife, Nur Syazwani Mizuana Shahril, have patched things up and are no longer seeking divorce. The post depicts a photo of the footballer with his arms around his wife and their son, Khalish Aryan. In the photo, the family of three appeared happy, with Nur Syazwani holding onto her husband’s hand.
Faisal, who is fondly known as Mickey, also included the caption, “Alhamdulilah”, signifying good news about his marriage. Nur Syazwani would later repost the Instagram Story, adding the caption, “Alhamdulilah! Forgive and forget. May Allah protect our marriage till Jannah. Love you, Faisal. It feels like we just got married yesterday”. The posts come just a little over a week after news outlets reported that the couple were divorcing after six years of marriage.
On 2nd September 2025, reports emerged revealing that Nur Syazwani had filed for divorce from the athlete at the Klang Syariah lower court. The divorce was filed under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law Enactment (Selangor), which covers mutually agreed divorces. According to Nur Syazwani’s lawyer, the reason for the divorce was irreconcilable differences. The pair have allegedly been facing marital problems and had previously sought divorce.
It’s worth mentioning that the pair hasn’t officially separated, as they were supposed to appear in court on 16th October 2025 for the mention. However, the couple will now likely call off the divorce. It’s unknown how or when Faisal and Nur Syazwani made amends, but fans are now sending in their well-wishes for the two. Many also hope that the couple will be more understanding of each other and work together to make their marriage work.
