As if Japan wasn’t enough, the king of Kaijus is set to roar into Malaysia in 2026! An official Godzilla store is scheduled to open in January, giving fans of the legendary monster plenty to get excited about.
Japanese entertainment company TOHO, in collaboration with Toho Entertainment Asia and local partner M&M Creations, is launching Southeast Asia’s first official GODZILLA STORE at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Here’s what we know so far about the new outlet:

According to Toho, the store will officially open on 9th January 2026. It marks the first GODZILLA STORE outside Japan and Taiwan, with the latter having opened earlier this year, and is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The store promises an immersive experience, featuring themed walls, neon lighting, and dedicated photo spots.
Visitors will also find a wide range of officially licensed merchandise, including figures, apparel, and exclusive items created specifically for GODZILLA STORE Malaysia. Adding to the spectacle, the outlet’s entrance will showcase a two-metre-tall statue of the iconic kaiju, sculpted by Toho partner Igloo Studios—the same studio behind the 70 Years of Godzilla: A New Roar in Southeast Asia video released earlier this May.

It is currently unclear whether the GODZILLA STORE will be a permanent fixture at LaLaport BBCC or a temporary pop-up. Regardless, fans are expected to flock to the venue on opening day. Are you excited? What merchandise will you be picking up at the store? Clothes? Figurines? For more information and updates, be sure to follow Godzilla Asia on social media.
