Now imagine travelling the world in search of the best KFC. It’s oddly specific but if you’re a massive fan of the fast food chain, wouldn’t you want to find out which country serves the best KFC? If you can’t afford the trip or are too lazy to travel, then don’t worry cause this man has done the work for you and you might not even need to travel far to know which country has the best KFC.
Kamlesh Mistry, a 37-year-old man from the UK was named KFC’s first-ever Super Fan in 2020. The father-of-two recently shared his experience of travelling to more than 50 countries as he was on a mission to try various KFC recipes and find out which country has the best KFC. In an interview with the DailyMail, the man revealed that his efforts even resulted in him receiving the Super Fan title as well as a year’s supply of free KFC chicken.
Now for the big question: Which country has the best KFC?
The British man shared that out of all the countries he has travelled to, he named Malaysia as the country to have the best KFC recipe. “Kuala Lumpur definitely had the most interesting menu. I love my spicy food and they had a lot of spicy alternatives,” he said. Over 50 countries and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been the most memorable one for him. Among the other countries he visited were Singapore, Japan, India, and Italy.
The technical director also mentioned that the KFC restaurant in Reykjavik, Iceland “was by far the strangest KFC I have ever been to – I was just so surprised when I saw one there.” According to the DailyMail, Kamlesh has been obsessed with the fast food chain since he was 12 years old and his mission is far from being over.
The fast food franchise has about 24k restaurants in more than 145 different countries and Kamlesh isn’t slowing down one bit as he’s still in search of the best KFC recipe. Will Malaysia be able to hold the title? Either way, we wish him all the best in his KFC adventure.
