Earlier this year, it was hinted that iconic K-pop girl group 2NE1 (투애니원) would be performing in Malaysia as part of their reunion “Welcome Back” Asia tour. However, fans were left disappointed when our country was not included in the original six dates announced. Due to overwhelming demand, YG Entertainment has been keeping fans updated on additional concert dates and new locations for the group’s tour.
Malaysians, get ready to scream your hearts out as it has now been confirmed that we’ll be seeing the K-pop icons next year! Here’s what we know so far:

Just earlier today (Wednesday, 6 November), YG Entertainment announced on Instagram that three new locations have been added to 2NE1’s “Welcome Back” Tour, with Kuala Lumpur being one of them. The band will be performing on our shores on 1st February 2025, followed by Taipei on 8th–9th February, and the two newly added locations, Ho Chi Minh and Macao, later that same month.
At the time of writing, information regarding the concert venue, timing, and ticketing has yet to be released. However, it is likely that iME Malaysia might be the organiser for the upcoming show since they reposted the announcement. Regardless, Malaysian fans have already started flooding the comments section of the announcement post, expressing their excitement to finally see 2NE1 live in KL. Once ticket details are released, be sure to be the first in line, as even the band members themselves had trouble securing their own tickets for the concert in Seoul.

In case you didn’t know, the “I AM THE BEST” hitmakers performed in our homeland back in 2013 and leader CL has headlined a few local music festivals including Good Vibes Malaysia 2022 and last year’s Borneo Sonic Music Festival. Will we catch you there at the upcoming KL concert? Stay tuned for more info.
