We’ve all (except for a few lucky ones) faced facial acne at some point in our lives. With facial acne comes self-esteem issues that have resulted in us not feeling confident in our own skin, hence, leading to the desire to go through a cosmetic surgery or laser surgery procedure or even to dump heap loads of makeup in an effort to look pretty enough according to society’s beauty standards. Using makeup is fine, but the result of using the wrong products on sensitive skin could lead to even more break outs due to clogged pores. Well, here’s a permanent solution to your acne woes!

Still not convinced? Well, according to a survey conducted by Mentholatum, 72% of their respondents experienced improved skin condition, just after 30 days of using the Mentholatum Acnes. Furthermore, 3 out of 4 said their skin condition improved just after 7 days thereby giving them more self-confidence. Isn’t this amazing?

Now, to delve deep into their extensive range of products! The new Mentholatum Acnes range consist of the Mentholatum Acnes Creamy Wash, Acnes Powder Lotion, Acnes Oil-Control Moisturiser, as  well as Acnes Anti-Acne Spot Gel for spot-treatment. These products contain more than 95% of pure Centella Asiatica extract from Madagascar as their main constituent. Centella Asiatica, a herbaceous plant, effectively helps soothe the skin and aid in blemish recovery.

Products Overview

The details of the products are as follow:

Mentholatum Acnes Creamy Wash (100g)

This soap-free cleansing formula is made from Amino Acid and is close to the skin’s natural pH level. This would lead to a gentle yet effective cleansing which is extremely suitable for sensitive acne-prone skin. For added effectiveness, salicylic acid (BHA) has also been used into the formula to help unclog pores and combat acne. The Avocado extract, consists of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that calms the skin, and at the same time remove sebum for a longer lasting oil control. So, you could finally say goodbye to greasy skin. You could also find vitamin C and E antioxidants that helps soothe and brighten dull skin. They also aid in lightening acne marks and strengthening the skin barrier.

Price: RM 19.90

Mentholatum Acnes Powder Lotion (150ml)

This powder-lotion contains a sebum-balancing and oil-control formula that helps remove dead skin cells and fight blemishes by penetrating deep into the pores. Oil absorbing mineral powder has also been added to help absorb excess sebum and tighten the pores for smoother looking skin. Now, with all the oil gone, wouldn’t your skin become dry and flaky? Well, to prevent excessive dryness, aloe vera extract has been added for its  moisturising properties, as well as for long-lasting freshness. Acting in a similar way as the Creamy Wash, the Powder Lotion contains Vitamin C to help brighten dull skin, lighten acne marks, and strengthen skin barrier.

Price: RM19.90

Mentholatum Acnes Oil Control Moisturiser (45g)

A perfect combination of apple, aloe vera, seaweed and chamomile extracts, this moisturiser aims to keep the skin feeling soft and moisturised. The apple extract works well with the salicylic acid for some gentle exfoliation while the bitter cherry extract would help improve the elasticity of the skin, leaving the skin plump and youthful.

Price : RM29.90

Mentholatum Acnes Anti-Acne Spot Gel (18g)

Spot treatments are extremely popular amongst busy individuals because of its quick efficacy. But what if the pimple doesn’t pop? Now, Mentholatum’s spot contains 2% sulphur that effectively treats stubborn acnes. That, added with salicylic acid would help reduce excessive sebum, remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and prevent acne breakouts. Vitamin E and licorice have also been added to soothe and calm irritated acne spots.

Price: RM21.90
