Chinese New Year is the time for people to meet with family and friends to exchange new year greetings. Of course, what meet-up wouldn’t be better without food?

We know – it can be pretty difficult to top your usual mandarin oranges and CNY snacks (they still taste really good, though). So, here are a couple of bites and drinks you can get to impress your family and friends, all with festive cheer!

1. Gong Cha

Enjoy a delicious treat with Gong Cha’s latest Ong Lychee series, offering a perfect blend of tradition and taste for a prosperous Chinese New Year! Be it their Lychee Passion Fruit Green Tea, Lychee Milk Tea with Pearl or Lychee Oolong with White Pearl, these drinks are bound to sweeten your celebration with your loved ones.

2. Elevete Patisserie

If you’re looking for a classy gift, you can’t go wrong with Elevete’s scrumptious goodies. They have the usual peanut cookies, classic butter cookies and their new-and-improved pineapple tarts! But, the crowning jewel has to be their Dragon’s Blessings, a fruity entremet topped with delicious golden chocolate ingots. For something a little more diverse, check out their “East-Meets-West” desserts and Bountiful Spring (Designer Cupcakes) to delight the whole family.

3. Starbucks

Drinks are usually the go-to for Starbucks, but in light of Chinese New Year, it has launched a Pineapple Cake gift set, perfect to share with your loved ones. With a pretty packaged box filled with pineapple-filled pastries in the shape of a coffee cup, it’s an adorable and memorable snack to gift to family and friends.

Marrybrown is offering a flavourful combination of their Egg-stra Ong meals with their Egg-stra Ong Shrimp Burger, Money Bags, Egg-stra Ong Chicken, Pineapple Pie and Pineapple Ong Fizz Pearl. With different combos to try and a variety of snacks to munch on, there’ll definitely be something for the whole family.

5. Pizza Hut

Bask in prosperity this year with some Ong Lit Lit Buttermilk goodies from Pizza Hut! Whether you choose the pizza topped with creamy buttermilk sauce and crispy Popcorn Chicken, or their Buttermilk snacks: Krispy Wings Buttermilk, Huts Poppers Hash Bites or Krispy Chicken Fries with Buttermilk Sauce, the Ong Lit Lit Buttermilk selection is definitely a must for gatherings, be it big or small.

6. ZUS Coffee

This CNY, ZUS Coffee is being daring by offering a mix of coffee and watermelon to help you get in the mood for the festivities. Choose between Iced or Hot Watermelon Latté for that kick of watermelon with coffee, or go for their juicy and refreshing Watermelon Frappé for non-coffee lovers. Regardless, it’ll definitely be a unique experience for you and your loved ones!
