Jay Chou (周杰倫) fans would know that concert tickets for the Mandopop icon are hard to come by. Many people have reportedly done extreme things to get passes – but would you sleep with someone to see the singer?
Recently, news outlets have reported about a young woman in Taiwan who claimed to have slept with a scammer for Jay Chou concert tickets. The singer recently held a four-day show at the Taipei Dome, which attracted 150,000 fans. Since tickets sold out immediately after going on sale, it’s no wonder many people looked for alternatives to get at least one pass to the show.

The 24-year-old shared her story on an online forum, where she revealed she agreed to sleep with a man in exchange for concert tickets. The woman claimed to be a huge fan of Jay Chou but failed to get a ticket to any of the four Taipei Dome concerts. Desperate to find a ticket, the female fan said she went online to find a reseller. Within five minutes, a man said he could sell his tickets at the original price – but the catch was the woman had to sleep with him.
The fan said she was initially reluctant as she had a boyfriend but chose to meet with the man anyway. The woman claimed she slept with the reseller a total of five times, even to the point of developing feelings for the man. Unfortunately, the female fan finally realised she was scammed when the man didn’t give her the ticket he promised.

At the end of her post, the woman expressed her anger towards the scammer, writing, “ I curse you for the rest of your life. You will go to hell if you deceive people’s feelings like this.” The news has since gone viral on social media, drawing a lot of reactions. Most netizens were shocked at how far the fan would go for Jay Chou tickets. Meanwhile, others criticised the woman for willingly cheating on her partner for a concert ticket.
Unfortunately, we can’t confirm the story. However, some netizens have pointed out a similar story from a fan in China. Regardless, what are your thoughts on this? Would you have done what this woman did to see your favourite singer?
