Hong Kong artist Faye Wong (王菲) is best known for her singing and acting skills. However, her eldest daughter Dou Jingtong aka Leah Dou (窦靖童) recently stole the limelight.
Leah Dou has never made her sexual orientation explicit, but many have assumed it based on her preference for unisex dressing. As such, many were convinced when they heard rumours that she had married female director Queena Li (李孟桥)!
The rumours first abounded on 2nd August via the Internet. They claimed that 26-year-old Leah Dou and 38-year-old film director Queena Li had gotten married overseas. Netizens were quick to side with the story, claiming they had evidence of their relationship.
They listed proof such as the ring Leah had been wearing in a photo, and Queena posted a photo of Leah’s cat on her socials on 14th February, Valentine’s Day. There were also pics of the duo together as they recently collaborated on the drama “她的生存之道”.
Fans were quick to congratulate the duo, on the off-chance it was true. However, shortly after the internet went wild with the rumours, director Queena Li stepped forward to clarify the issue. Chinese media had approached her for confirmation regarding her alleged relationship with Leah, and Queena then reportedly denied that they were married.
Well, it’s nice to know that netizens are willing to support Leah Dou’s relationship, regardless of her sexuality. However, it seems both Leah and Queena have yet to tie the knot. Still, the two seem to be good friends and we hope the rumours don’t change anything about their relationship!
