It’s a boy for Malaysia actor Fattah Amin and singer Amira Othman! The celebrity couple recently announced the birth of their first child, a healthy baby boy named Muhammad Jarir Umar.
Earlier today (Wednesday, 24th June 2026), Fattah took to Instagram to announce that Amira had safely given birth to their first child. According to the post, the couple welcomed their son, Muhammad Jarir Umar, on 23rd June 2026 (Tuesday) at 6.20pm. The actor also expressed gratitude for the public’s prayers and well-wishes, adding that he hopes for his son to be a pious child.
The post also included a photo of Fattah carrying his son and a picture of the newborn wrapped in a swaddle embroidered with his name. Many fans and fellow celebrities, including singer Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza and actor Fizo Omar, have taken to the comment section to congratulate the couple on the birth of their newborn. Many also wished for the baby to grow healthily and for Amira to have a smooth recovery.
Fattah and Amira tied the knot last September in a ceremony that was livestreamed on Unifi TV. In April of this year, Amira confirmed pregnancy rumours, announcing that she’s 30 weeks pregnant at a product launch event. The announcement received tons of excited reactions, with many netizens wishing the 32-year-old a safe pregnancy journey. This is Amira’s first marriage and her first child.
Meanwhile, Fattah was previously married to actress Nur Fazura, but the couple divorced in 2024 after seven years of marriage. The pair have one daughter together, Nur Fatima Aisya. After their split, Fazura received full custody of Fatima, and Fattah received visitation rights three times a week and overnight stays twice a month. However, earlier this year, Fattah claimed that his ex-wife obstructed his visitation rights.
