After weeks of competition, we finally have a winner for this year’s Miss Universe pageant. Earlier today (Friday, 21 November 2025), it was officially announced that Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch, has been crowned Miss Universe 2025. The final show took place at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Just like previous titleholders, her victory has sparked curiosity among many. So, without further ado, let’s learn a little more about Miss Mexico:
She has ADHD and dyslexia

Mental health has long been a cause championed by many Miss Universe contestants and winners. Fatima Bosch herself understands the challenges of living with such struggles. She previously shared that she was clinically diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia during her school years, which made it difficult for her to connect with her peers.
During the pageant’s Q&A segment, Fatima stood firm in her advocacy, saying, “Believe in the power of your authenticity. Believe in yourself. Your dreams matter. Your heart matters. And never let anyone make you doubt your worth, because you’re worth everything. You are powerful, and your voice needs to be heard.”
She was a fashion student
Beauty and brains. According to reports, Fatima holds a degree in Fashion and Apparel Design from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. She has also undertaken further studies at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan and the Lyndon Institute in Vermont, USA. It has also been said that the 25-year-old is passionate about sustainable fashion and has incorporated discarded materials into her designs.
She’s the 4th Miss Mexico to win Miss Universe
Following in the footsteps of her predecessors, Fatima Bosch worked hard to earn both the Miss Mexico and Miss Universe titles. She is the fourth Miss Mexico to achieve this milestone, with the previous titleholder being Andrea Meza, who won Miss Universe in 2020.
She went viral for standing up for herself
@channelnewsasia The director of Miss Universe Thailand, Nawat Itsaragrisil, has been restricted from taking part in events related to this year’s Miss Universe competition after he was seen reprimanding contestants during a livestream on Tuesday (Nov 4). He publicly called Miss Universe Mexico, Fatima Bosch, a “dumbhead” for allegedly following her country director’s advice not to post materials promoting the host country, Thailand. Following the exchange, Ms Bosch walked out of the room, prompting other contestants to leave the sashing ceremony as well.
As mentioned earlier, Fatima Bosch was involved in a controversy in which she was reportedly insulted by Nawat Itsaragrisil, chairman of the Miss Universe Thailand Host Committee and CEO of Miss Grand International. Refusing to be mistreated, she walked out of the ceremony, with other contestants joining her in solidarity. Miss Universe 2024 winner Victoria Theilvig also showed her support by leaving the sashing ceremony alongside her.
