If you are a K-pop fan, you will know that some idols, particularly male idols, enjoy playing video games in their free time. Stray Kids’ Bang Chan and Felix are both fans of “Genshin Impact”, while Felix and Tomorrow X Together’s leader, Choi Soobin (최수빈), play “League of Legends”.
Speaking of Soobin, he recently achieved a notable milestone in the popular mobile game — a feat made all the more impressive given his extremely busy schedule. While fans congratulated him, they also noticed something rather amusing about his recent social media activity. Here’s what he did:

Earlier this week, TXT leader Soobin posted his monthly carousel of photos on Instagram, which included the exciting news that he had reached Master Rank in “League of Legends”, an online team-based game. For context, Master Rank is the first of the three apex tiers, positioned between Diamond I and Grandmaster. To achieve Master, a player must earn 100 League Points (LP) in Diamond I. In other words, even for experienced players, it can take weeks or months to reach this ranking.
Fans were impressed with the singer’s achievement, especially considering he is a full-time idol. However, they were not the only ones showing admiration. The official League of Legends Instagram account commented on Soobin’s post, writing, “Grandmaster next! #monthlysoobin,” referring to the next ranking in the game and encouraging him to progress further. Excited, the idol attempted to reply to the comment but discovered he could not unless he followed the account.

Speaking to fans on Weverse, the TXT leader shared that he wanted to say something to the “League of Legends” team. He followed the official Instagram account and was finally able to leave his comment: “Let’s go!!! Then, Cassiopeia buff plz plz plzzzz.” Fans noticed that shortly after posting the comment, he immediately unfollowed the account.
Many found this move quite amusing, noting that Soobin had seized the opportunity to request a buff for his favourite character in the game. Others found Soobin’s reaction hilarious, affectionately calling him a “loser” and a “nerd”. If you’re wondering why he unfollowed the account, it’s clear from the screenshots above that he only follows his TXT members on his main page. If your favourite video game noticed you, as it did for the K-pop star, would you have reacted the same way?
