Looks aren’t everything, but when you walk the red carpet, apparently they are! Chinese actress Fan Bingbing (范冰冰) certainly knows this better than everyone, especially after a few naysayers criticised her fashion sense.
The Cannes Film Festival 2023 has been ongoing for the past few days and Fan Bingbing has been slaying on the red carpet. However, as it’s apt to happen, some netizens roasted one of her outfits. Well, the actress soon returned with a stunning dress that had others quick to trip over praising her.
Netizens have never been shy about praising the 41-year-old for her beauty, and she’s never shied away from showing it off. However, it seems one of her recent outfits struck a chord with netizens and left them joking that she had “the essence of a clam“.
The outfit in question showed her with a delicate piece just covering her breasts while a white shawl and a long white skirt completed the outfit. Fan Bingbing also wore a headpiece that clasped the sides of her head and which likely gave her the appearance of a clam. “Anything can be said,” she mused wryly in her caption afterwards. “(Essence of a clam) or maybe mussels. That is mussels… as you all know…”
Well, the actress isn’t one to let sleeping dogs lie. She soon proved her fashion sense again with her latest outfit, which had her fans cooing over her. Her latest fit was a black floor length gown with one side showing see-through fabric cleverly decorated by glittering rhinestones. in addition to being an eye-catching piece, it also served to display all of Fan Bingbing’s curves.
Netizens were quick to flock to her socials to praise her looks. “Beautiful as always,” one said, adding hugs and “love you”s. Another, rather seriously, told her: “The red carpet depends on you.” A netizen commented: “It’s really amazing and beautiful!”
It’s clear that Fan Bingbing has reclaimed her title as “Queen of the Red Carpet”. We’re not sure what else she has in store for the rest of the Cannes Film Festival, but we’re certain she’ll make them look stunning anyway!
