Malaysia’s power couple Faliq Nasimuddin and Chryseis Tan recently got married again – this time in Kyoto, Japan.
Dubbed as the final part of #ChrysFaliqEverAfter, close friends and family gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel to celebrate the happy occasion. The wedding reception took place in an outdoor setting, at the heart of a Japanese garden. It was a breathtaking view that overlooked the autumn foliage season.
This come after their floral-themed wedding at The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort, in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang back in February and the celebrity-filled wedding affair in July. If you remember, Westlife’s Shane Filan, UK quartet Blue and Dayang Nurfaizah entertained the wedding guests at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
For those that don’t know, Chryseis – who is the daughter of Berjaya Corporation’s Malaysian tycoon Vincent Tan Chee Yioun – is the chief executive officer of Berjaya Times Square. The company’s overseas ventures include Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto and the soon-to-open Four Seasons Okinawa.
When asked why another wedding, the businesswoman – who turned 30 earlier this month – explained, “We wanted something intimate with our family and close friends, hence the second celebration.” Autumn also happens to be Chryseis’ favourite season.
Chryseis also chose 2 custom designed wedding dresses for the occasion. To show her support for Asian designers, she opted for Oscar De La Renta (Laura Kim is one of the creative directors) and Prabal Gurung.
Her Oscar De La Renta gown (pictured above) was an off-shoulder bodice, adorned with hundreds of delicate lace flowers. The feather-like skirt looked ethereal and voluminous thanks to the accentuated layers of fabric.
The bride’s Prabal Gurung gown on the other hand, had a high-neck halter neckline, embellished with beads and crystals. The mermaid-style silhouette design also featured see-through portions that gave the outfit a modern feel.
