Netflix’s Korean reality dating show, “Single’s Inferno”, was a hit when it first debuted on the platform in 2021. For those unfamiliar, the series follows a group of young, charismatic singles who are put on a deserted island. In a quest for romance and genuine connection, they compete in challenges for a chance to temporarily escape to Paradise with their love interest. After many twists and turns, each of them must make a final choice, revealing who they’ve truly connected with by the end of the show.
Now, following the previous season’s roller-coaster of a finale episode in February 2025, Netflix has confirmed that production for season 5 of “Single’s Inferno” is currently underway. Read on for everything to know about the next season so far.
When will “Single’s Inferno” Season 5 come out?
The first few episodes of this season are set to drop on 20th January 2026 and will be available to stream on Netflix. Based on the past four seasons, fans can expect new episodes every Tuesday over the course of five weeks.
Who are the hosts of “Single’s Inferno” Season 5?
It’s expected that the show will keep the same host panel for this season, with rapper Hanhae, former contestant Dex, comedian Hong Jin-kyung, actress Lee Da-hee, and Super Junior member Kyuhyun all returning.
Additionally, season 4’s contestant, Lee Sian, is most likely to return as a guest panellist. According to the producers of the show in a press conference, this season will feature a guest who’s had their time in the spotlight, and fans are speculating that Sian is the star most likely to join as a host as she had the most screentime and holds the record for the most Paradise visits among all Single’s Inferno contestants through the first to fourth season.
Who’s the cast of “Single’s Inferno” Season 5?
At the same press conference, the producers have also teased that this season will have the largest number of contestants, and the teaser has also revealed one of the faces. Although the official cast is still under wraps and unconfirmed, the contestants (mostly rumoured) include:
Kim Min-ji
So far, Kim Min-ji is the only one to have had her face revealed in the teaser. The 29-year-old is an athlete and a runner for the esteemed Jincheon County team in Chungcheongbuk-do Province. She’s not new to showbiz either, having appeared on Korean shows like “Kick A Goal”, “Survival King: Tribe Wars”, and “Knowing Bros”.
Kim Go-eun
In December last year, Korean news channel YTN reported that Kim Go-eun would be joining the cast of this season. She’s a model and former 2022 Miss Korea runner-up.
Lim Sung-jin
Volleyball player Lim Sung-jin, who already has a huge social media following is said to be appearing on the show. The 26-year-old currently plays for professional volleyball club Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars as an outside hitter.
