The new year is a time for new beginnings and opportunities. There are many things to explore, and as it turns out, Entopia, located at the Penang Butterfly Farm, has introduced something entirely new.

Situated on Penang Island, the butterfly sanctuary recently launched the world’s first-ever bioluminescent garden. If you’re unfamiliar with it, the garden’s plants glow in the dark, creating a beautiful scene at night, with the wildlife coming alive in vibrant hues.

They don’t just have a glow-in-the-dark garden; the latest attraction also offers many other activities related to bioluminescence under their ‘Entopia by Night’ programme. Talk about variety! Between the naturally beautiful environment and the entertaining activities, there’s no shortage of fun here.

Featuring a ‘Fluorescent Lab,’ visitors can learn more about fluorescence and the science behind glowing through interesting and interactive experiments. And if any guests want to glow like the plants, they can get a temporary tattoo! They’ll blend right in with the surrounding environment.

After all that fun, a good meal is needed to replenish our energy. Well, not to worry—Entopia’s Tapestree Café offers some stunning meals that are sure to satisfy. These dishes are a treat for both the stomach and the eyes. In keeping with the bioluminescent theme, this delicious food also embodies the glow-in-the-dark aesthetic. It’ll light up your plate and add that extra pizzazz to your meal.

Here are some extra details to take note of:

  • Address: No.830, Jalan Teluk Bahang, Teluk Bahang, 11050 Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
  • Operating Hours: 7pm – 10pm (Friday and Saturday)
  • Ticket Prices: Children and Senior Citizens: RM25, Adults: RM35

Tickets are available through advanced online booking here. Would you visit this glow-in-the-dark garden?
