Anime events are highly awaited as Malaysia is flooded with anime fans of various fandoms. And just recently, an announcement was officially made by ACO Labs & Media on Instagram. You guessed it! Get your weapons ready, fellow sorcerers because THE Jujutsu Kaisen experience is coming to Kuala Lumpur for the first time!
Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦) is a supernatural fantasy anime written by the infamous mangaka, Gege Akutami (芥見下) and its popularity surged during COVID lockdown for its exciting plot and characters. The animation has always had a special place in the hearts of Malaysian fans, especially with Nanami’s wish to visit Kuantan as seen in one of the episodes! So, looks like not only Nanami’s dream of somewhat visiting Malaysia came true but this feels like a fantasy for us fans here too!
Source: FACEBOOK/ ACO LabsThe pop-up event will be organised by ACO Media and ACO Lab, which is a community that typically hosts anime-themed events for fans to gather and connect through their interest! The Jujutsu Kaisen-themed event will be taking place at ACO Lab cafe at Pavilion Bukit Jalil from 20th April to 20th July 2024. Do take note that the event requires an entrance ticket which can be purchased through the Ticket2U platform. You can even choose your Jujutsu Kaisen packages, which range from RM20 to RM70 with each category providing different benefits for the event!
That’s not even the creme de la creme! According to the organisers, the Jujutsu Kaisen experience will have three main corners including the picture zone, an anime cafe serving themed food as well as the staple souvenir store. It is promised that the culinary experience will serve Japanese fusion dishes inspired by the characters in the series.
Thus, prepare yourself for some other-worldly gastronomic experience – from fantastical yummy feasts to sweet sorcerer treats, leaving fans to transport into Gege Akutami’s imagination! Apart from enjoying your mystical meals, fans are subjected to a complimentary gift with each purchase from the anime cafe menu! Rest assured, the meals listed on the menu are free from pork, alcohol and lard so it is safe for Muslims to consume.
Don’t forget to drop by the souvenir store or shall we say, paradise on earth? Their merchandise section will be the largest one they had so far with over 120 exclusive limited-edition items! To immerse deeper into their “Domain Expansion”, the photo booth will be divided into five zones and each zone is said to be decorated according to the iconic scenes as portrayed in the series!
Also, keep in mind that the purchasing ticket will be valid for 1 month from the chosen date and if you can’t make it to the chosen session, you are allowed to attend on a different day. However, you are required to enter through the walk-in lane on a first-come, first-served basis.
