The owner swears by operating a scratch kitchen and selling only their freshest baked cakes, brownies, and cupcakes – made from the best ingredients (no powdered substitutes for butter and no colourings) they can find and carefully prepared to ensure the best flavor and taste.
As a matter of fact, Artisan in its namesake means “handcrafted”.
They’re also known to craft the best coffees in town. And by best, we mean very best. Apparently, the espresso machines that they use are made by craftsmen and the coffee is roasted by hand. Now, after hearing all that, how can we not want to give it a little “taste test” of our own?
Located in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, at first impression, Artisan is smaller than we had imagined. Small and cozy. The seating arrangements seemed a little strange at first but we were more distracted by the warm wood, stone, and brick finishing.

A display of desserts and cakes stood near the entrance to the café. They looked delicious (we were hungry) albeit “raw”/simple. We went ahead to pick the “Cheeeeeeesecake” which was highly recommended.
Verdict?
We’re trying not to be too overly dramatic when we say that it was so rich, it totally melted in our mouths! And we’re not exaggerating when we say that you can practically taste the premium ingredients that were melded together to create the slice of awesomeness.
For RM10, The “Cheeeeeeesecake” was totally worth it!
That taste of heaven was later washed down with their Latte (RM10). It got our taste buds covered for the day, that’s for sure. So fragrant topped with creamy frothy milk! Our only gripe that even the coffee came to an end because it was served in a small glass. But that’s alright, right? To leave their customers begging for more?
