In the modern household, having someone around the house to maintain and manage it is a blessing. Hence why most households prefer to hire a helper, especially if the parents are the breadwinners of the family. Unfortunately, some helpers are wolves in sheep’s skin.

This family in Puchong recently got a nasty shock. Their new Indonesian helper apparently stole RM10,000 worth of valuables on her second day. To make matters worse, she also kidnapped their 1-year-old child!

The helper, named Aisha (30), was supposedly hired a week ago. She was recommended by another lady who introduced Aisha to the family. According to a relative, the father of the family had planned to take his driving test on her second day. However, he didn’t want to leave Aisha alone in the condominium unit with his kid. As such, he asked his dad (66) to come over and help out.

Unfortunately, the 66-year-old man fell asleep while babysitting his grandson. When he woke up, he discovered that his grandchild and the helper were gone. He notified his family around 3.30pm after ascertaining that the two were no longer in the house.

The family started an immediate manhunt for Aisha. They initially tried contacting her, to no avail. However, after discovering CCTV footage showing her taking the child, they brought the matter to the police. The family also resorted to reporting the issue online, hoping kind-hearted netizens would help look for their kid.

During the search, the mother, Ms. Li (42), also realised their valuables were missing. She reportedly told China Press that the helper had taken gold, jewellery and cash from a safe in their room. In total, she had stolen valuables worth about RM10,000.

Luckily, the family received a call around 6pm claiming their child had been found. Apparently, the helper had abandoned him at a pawnshop in Puchong after she sold the stolen items. They immediately rushed over to pick him up. Unfortunately, the whereabouts of Aisha remains a mystery.

Well, thankfully the child is alright and home where he belongs. In the meantime, hopefully the police can locate Aisha and ease the family’s distress.
