Earlier this week, Dolly Parton’s estate announced through her official website that it plans to hold two Dollyfest festivals in 2027 to honour the late singer, who passed away on 25th August 2026 (Tuesday). The two events will take place in Nashville, Tennessee and London, England, across two consecutive weeks.
According to the statement, Dollyfest was initially scheduled to take place in Nashville in January 2026 to celebrate Dolly’s 80th birthday. The event was planned to feature Dolly as performer and host, alongside other musicians. However, the singer’s health deteriorated before the event could proceed.
While Dolly’s estate has yet to share details about the two Dollyfest events, it hints that the event will be a grand, festival-style occasion, as Dolly had intended with her initial plans. The estate also acknowledges the upcoming tributes planned in her honour, but said that Dollyfest would be something “truly dreamed up by Dolly”.
Danny Nozell, the founder and CEO of CTK Enterprises, the company behind the festival, said about the festival, “This is something that is authentic to her, something that feels right to me, and something that artists and fans around the world can participate in, while also giving everyone time to grieve, and giving everyone time to plan.”
