Local pop group Dolla has often come under scrutiny for their overtly sexy image as seen in their performances as well as their music videos. The girl group members, particularly Sabronzo and Syasya, have been called out multiple times over their revealing outfits.
The backlash has in turn prompted the latter’s grandmother, veteran actress Rozie Othman, to speak up about the matter. During an interview with Harian Metro, Rozie shared that she had already advised Syasya to change her appearance and dress more modestly several times.

The 61-year-old actress told the publication, “I’m aware of Syasya’s sexy appearance, and I’ve tried to advise her. I told her, ‘I’m not really pleased with your revealing choice of attire. Try and tone it down.'” Rozie added that she understands the younger generation’s interest in trying out new fashion and self expression.
“I used to be young like her, so I can understand them. But still, I hope she will listen to my advice. I wish her nothing but the best. May God give her guidance. I also hope that she will continue to be successful in her career. She’s very young, and she still has a long way to go,” Rozie added in the chat.
For those in the dark, Rozie has been active in the local entertainment scene for more than 30 years. She is known for starring in several popular dramas such as “Rumah Kedai”, “Rombongan Cik Kiah Ke Sukan Komanwel”, “Astana Idaman”, “Abang Muda” and “Mertua vs Menantu”.
