Grammy award-winning global superstar Doja Cat has released her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Vie, out now via Kemosabe Records/RCA Records. The album arrives alongside a visually stunning music video for “Gorgeous,” directed by Bardia Zeinali (Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter) and filmed in New York City.
The album’s title, Vie (French for “life”), reflects both the Roman numeral V for five and the artist’s exploration of love, romance, and self-discovery.
“I chose Vie as a nod to La Vie en Rose and tied it together with the theme of romance,” Doja Cat explains. “Throughout this project I give my interpretation on love, sex, romance, pain, and wonder within a relationship. These songs can be pertained to the relationship with yourself or others.”
The 15-track album blends ’80s, ’70s, and ’90s influences with modern production, featuring the previously released single “Jealous Type” and a collaboration with SZA on “Take Me Dancing.”
