OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (“OCBC Bank”) has introduced a new promotional campaign spotlighting one of the things Malaysians are most proud of: its food.

Through OCBC’s Mickey Go Local campaign, the bank has launched five limited-edition plushie blind boxes featuring Disney’s Mickey Mouse, each with a distinctly local twist inspired by some of Malaysia’s most beloved dishes and drinks. Featuring Mickey and Nasi Lemak, Mickey and Roti Canai, Mickey and Chicken Rice, Mickey and Curry Noodles and Mickey and Bubble Tea, the collection brings together a fan-favourite, timeless character with familiar food icons that have become an integral part of everyday life in Malaysia.

Selected for their familiarity and cultural significance, the five food favourites reflect the diversity of Malaysian society and the role that food plays in connecting people from all walks of life. By reimagining Mickey Mouse through these distinctly Malaysian flavours, the campaign celebrates the heritage, traditions and everyday experiences that make Malaysia unique. Beyond being a collectable, each plushie also transforms into a foldable tote bag, allowing customers to carry a reminder of home wherever they go.

Mr Sammeer, OCBC Bank’s Head of Consumer Financial Services, said, “As a bank that has been part of Malaysia for close to a century, we wanted to celebrate the culture, identity and food that make our country unique. Ask any Malaysian what they are most proud of about our country, and food will almost always be near the top of the list.

Through Mickey Go Local, we hope to celebrate these shared experiences and the diversity that makes Malaysia special.”

From 3 August to 30 November 2026, customers who open an OCBC 360 Account/-I and deposit RM5,000 can receive a limited-edition Mickey Go Local plushie blind box at all OCBC branches nationwide. Customers can also earn up to 3.00% per annum by maintaining their balance over three consecutive months. Two limited-edition OCBC Mickey Mouse Debit Card designs featuring Malaysian-inspired elements are also available during the campaign period.

The Mickey Go Local campaign is open to Malaysian citizens, permanent residents, as well as eligible non-residents aged 18 and above. The plushie blind boxes are available while stocks last.
