Physical defects and flaws often become one’s insecurities, especially those who were born with it. Hence, mothers should always be mindful during the pregnancy. However, have you ever thought that your flaws and deformities might be seen as holy or godlike?

Recently, a baby who was born in Bihar, East India, has caught the attention of the surrounding citizens. Yeah, we have heard of deformed babies, but why did this one baby receive so much attention? The baby was born with 4 hands, and 4 legs, that’s enough attention to get a whole village excited.

The baby, whose gender has yet to be disclosed, was born in Katihar Sadar Hospital in Bihar earlier this week on 17th January 2022. The baby immediately became a local celebrity when locals gathered outside the hospital to take a peek at the child. Videos and pictures of the baby went viral on the internet, and not only locals, but also netizens have claimed that the baby is a reincarnation of Goddess Lakshmi, whom has the same amount of limbs.

Allegedly, the relatives were said to be putting the blame on a private clinic’s doctor for the deformities. They claimed that when they went for an ultrasound session, the doctor did not mention anything about twins, let alone deformities. Upon the child’s birth, the parents were left in shock seeing the condition of their bundle of joy.

According to the doctors, both the mother and child is healthy. Although, the suspected reason of the child’s deformities is probably due to the lack of development of another twin growing inside the mother’s womb during pregnancy. A case like this has also occurred previously in India with a little girl named after the Goddess Lakshmi, herself. Lakshmi Tatma was then worshipped by the people of her village like a God.

So, what do you think — Goddess Lakshmi’s reincarnation or just simply pregnancy complication?
