Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s grand wedding receptions have been the talk of the town lately.
Many netizens have suggest that the newlyweds’ recent nuptials will go down as one of the most talked-about Indian celebrity weddings. Clad in matching ivory and gold wedding outfits, DeepVeer (as their fans call them) looked like royalty.
Deepika was stunning from head to toe, in an ornate bridal lehenga – featuring gold-embroidered chikankari, characteristic of the work of fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Her multi-tiered floral-style necklace (also from the same jewellery brand) featured a blend of pearls, pristine white enamel and uncut diamonds set in gold.
Ranveer couldn’t help but gushed about his beautiful bride, claiming that he knew that Deepika was the one “6 months into the relationship”. “I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children,” he was quoted as saying.
“I’ve been thinking about marriage seriously for almost three years now. I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it,” he said. The high profile couple has already been together for 6 years now.
