A grim discovery was recently made involving American singer d4vd. Earlier this week, Los Angeles police found a decomposing body in the trunk of the Tesla that belonged to the singer-songwriter.
According to reports, on Monday afternoon (8th September 2025), workers at a Los Angeles tow yard reported a foul odour coming from a 2023 Tesla. The electric vehicle bears Texas license plates registered to David Anthony Burke, the real name of d4vd. The car was towed to the lot after being reported abandoned near the Hollywood Hills last week. As police investigated the vehicle, they found a badly decomposed body in a bag in the front trunk.

The victim has not yet been identified, as authorities said that it could take some time since the bagged remains weren’t intact. Additionally, the body may have experienced advanced decomposition due to it being under the blazing California sun. News outlets also reported that police found another body in a car in a different tow yard in the city. However, investigators haven’t found any known connection between the two cases.
Meanwhile, d4vd’s representatives shared that the singer is aware of the incident and is fully cooperating with the authorities despite currently being on tour. The singer kicked off his “Withered World Tour” in early August and performed at The Fillmore in Minneapolis on Tuesday night (9th September 2025). It’s also worth noting that the singer had performances in different cities every other night since the start of September.

Unfortunately, the effects of the case are already in place, with Crocs and Hollister removing campaign postings with the singer’s image from their website and social media platforms. The two brands said in a joint statement, “We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues.”
As of now, there’s no news on whether the d4vd will cancel his tour. Regardless, we hope he will give his full cooperation to the investigation.
