Dato’ Hasmiza Othman, or Dato’ Seri Vida (DSV), recently uploaded a video of herself celebrating the birthday of one of her staff members on her Instagram.
In the video posted by her, the 50-year-old entrepreneur had gifted the male employee (whom she refers to as her “media staff”), with a luxury Gucci-branded sling bag. Not only that, she also revealed that the bag is worth a whopping RM8K!
“Happy Birthday to my Media Staff @aniqhsr. He’s been working for me for almost 4 years. He follows me everywhere. I gave him a Gucci bag worth RM8,000,” the Qu Puteh founder made sure to let everyone know how generous she is. Of course, the post was flooded with dividing remarks from local netizens.
In this case, while some praised Vida for her kind gesture towards her employee, others also questioned her action of deliberately mentioning the price of the Gucci bag gift. IG user @wadadehh remarked, “Why did you have to mention how much does the bag cost? I cannot la!” Other than that, some even called the wealthy business mogul out for being a show-off.
