Oh no! Celine Dion has lost another loved one.
Just 2 days after Celine Dion’s husband, Rene Angelil, succumbed to throat cancer, her brother Daniel Dion, also passed away. Daniel had been fighting brain, tongue, and throat cancer for a few years before losing his life to the disease.
Source: Getty ImagesDaniel, 59, was the 8th child of 14 children. He is survived by his daughters, Valérie and Marie-Michelle, grandchildren Matis and Laurianne, together with his siblings.
“He was ready, and isn’t suffering any more. He was at peace,” his sister Claudette had recently told the Journal de Montreal newspaper. A religious funeral will take place later this month at St-Simon-et-Jude, in Charlemagne Québec, where the family was raised.
A source told People, “Celine is still in Vegas with her kids making plans for (her husband’s) funeral. It’s a typical grieving process. There’s moments of shed tears, moments of memories and laughter.”
