Customer Exposed After Demanding RM1100 Refund From Nail Salon At Tropicana Gardens Mall

It’s hard enough to deal with entitled customers but it’s even more frustrating when they start to make ridiculous accusations against you for something you never even did. This, unfortunately, happened to a nail salon when a customer did not pay the full price and requested a refund from the store owner. What’s worse was that she left a huge mess on one of the store’s cushions.

Last night (Thursday, 8th February) a Facebook user named Siti Nurmaya posted an incident that took place earlier this week at the Nailed It Manicure & Pedicure outlet at Tropicana Gardens Mall. A woman named Adeline visited the salon for her appointment and things escalated very quickly after she got her nails done.

In the WhatsApp screenshots shown above, the woman demanded the nail salon refund RM550, claiming that her nails turned out ugly and an extra RM550 for wasting her time. She kept spamming the store and even tried calling multiple times to get her money back. The owner responded to the customer with CCTV footage of her time at the salon and asked her to come to the police station so they could settle the issue face-to-face.

Adeline refused to cooperate and said she would only agree to meet at the station if the shop refunded double the amount she paid. The customer still kept pestering about the refund and how unsatisfied she was with her nails. The owner agreed to remove the nails but only if the customer would also compensate the store for ruining one of their cushions with period stains.

“I’ll teach you how to wear a sanitary pad and while I’m at it, I can also teach you some manners since you have none,” the owner said. Nailed It Manicure & Pedicure has since filed a police report against the customer but the store owner included more receipts to prove their innocence in the matter.

The Facebook post by Siti Nurmaya also included a screenshot of Adeline’s post on her socials where she expressed that she was satisfied with the salon’s service and how pretty her nails looked, contradicting her statements during the conversation with the store owner earlier. It appears that this was not the first time this Adeline person has caused trouble as she’s apparently notorious for making false accusations against other establishments.

So what happened to the woman? It was said that Adeline is currently serving 9 days of jail time before she’s released. Let’s hope she doesn’t cause any more trouble for anyone after this.
