Contest: Win Tix To Watch Romantic Dramedy “Fly Me To The Moon”

Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson are starring as lovers in the upcoming romantic comedy “Fly Me To The Moon”. Although we’ve previously seen the pair in 2016’s “Hail, Caesar!” (they didn’t crossed paths then), this project marks the first these Hollywood A-listers are working alongside each other.

Set in the 1960s, “Fly Me To The Moon” is based on the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Brought in to fix NASA’s public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Johansson) wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’ (Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as back-up and the countdown truly begins…

Chris Evans was initially approached to play Cole Davis. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflict with Netflix’s “Pain Hustlers”, the Captain America actor had to bow out. This pave the way for Tatum to come onboard. “Channing is such an easy-going actor, good spirited and professional. Falling in love with him onscreen was pretty easy. He’s such a likable person,” Johansson was quoted as saying. “Kelly and Cole are such opposites. It was fun to play that dynamic with Channing.”

In fact, Johansson and Tatum became fast friends on set. He was “constantly pulling my pigtails,” she said — sometimes literally. “My favorite memories of working with Channing are giggling with him before takes, especially when he tried to stick his fingers under my wig,” the 39-year-old actress added.

When asked about their favourite moment during filming, both Johansson and director Greg Berlanti agreed that it was the fake moon landing scene itself. “We were shooting the choreography of the moon landing on our fake lunar set, watching the stunt actors perform all of the movements to a T, while listening to the actual reporting from Walter Cronkite — it was just incredible,” Johansson recalled. “It was like watching the moon landing live right before your eyes.”
