Despite its mixed reviews, the 1997 film “Anaconda” remains one of the most iconic action-adventure horror titles of all time. Who could forget the scene where a character is shown trapped inside the snake’s belly? That image definitely traumatised an entire generation.
While there has yet to be an official modern remake of the original film, this latest release comes close. The upcoming 2025 “reboot” follows two best friends, played by Jack Black and Paul Rudd, who set out to film their own remake of the 1997 movie — but, as expected, things don’t quite go according to plan.
Film Synopsis:
Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been best friends since they were kids, and have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favourite movie: the cinematic “classic” Anaconda. When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming. But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. The movie they’re dying to make? It might just get them killed……
