This coming school holiday, Malaysia’s premier water theme park Sunway Lagoon will be introducing a jaw-some new activity at its Scream Park which will literally make your “jaws” drop!
Get ready for a jawsome experience as Sunway Lagoon introduces the world’s first ever Sharknado movie walk through attraction known as the “Sharknado Alive!” based on the popular “Sharknado” franchise.
For those of you who have been living under the sea and have no clue what the infamous franchise is about, it is basically a series of disaster horror comedy science-fiction films which follows a pair of husband and wife who continuously encounters “sharknadoes” (tornadoes filled with sharks), everywhere they go.
The movie is known to be one of the classic examples of “so-bad-it’s-good” movie thanks to its intentional silly humour, absurd plot and nonsensical twists. The unexpected success of the first movie spawned many sequels, video games, comics and spin-offs, and also earning it a cult following!
So to celebrate this fin-tastic franchise, Hype Malaysia is collaborating with Sunway Lagoon to give out 20 pairs of entry ticket to the water park this August school holiday.
Here are some important things to note about the ticket:-
- The validity of these tickets is from 10th to 18th August 2019.
- Applicable for weekends and public holidays.
- Applicable for all parks including all rides, activities and attractions, but not inclusive of pay-per-ride activities (Bungy Jump, G-Force X, Go Kart and Scuba Diving).
- The contest will run from 22nd July until 28th July 2019.
- Winners will need to collect the tickets at Hype’s office from between 29th July to 3rd August 2019.
Sharknado Alive! marks one of the most unique themed attraction at Scream Park. Among the highlights of this latest attraction is the interaction between visitors and a cast of live actors who play seasoned ‘weather girl’, ‘victims’ and of course, sharks!
Brace yourselves for a harrowing journey through a maze-like attraction that will feature sights and sounds of sharks in tornadoes.
The attraction occupies the entire top level of Scream Park and takes visitors through a 15-minute harrowing journey through locations based on some of the scenes from the movie.
Sharknado Alive! opens 10th August 2019 at Sunway Lagoon’s Scream Park. The opening hours will be from 11am to 6pm daily. Enjoy the latest shark-tastic adventure along with over 90 rides and attractions at Sunway Lagoon!
