Some celebrities recently got married to the love of their lives while others celebrated their wedding anniversaries with a grand event, attended by close friends and family. However, sometimes, there’s more to a relationship than meets the eye and sadly, not all marriages last long.
It was reported that Dr Jezamin has filed for divorce from her husband comedian Harith Iskander at the Federal Territories Syariah Lower Court recently. According to mStar, the entrepreneur apparently filed for divorce about a month ago. Unfortunately, she won’t comment any further regarding the reason behind their separation.
“Perhaps I’ll share more details one day,” she stated when asked by the media. Representing her is lawyer Datuk Akberdien Abdul Kadir, who has previously represented other celebrities like Hafidz Roshdi and Puteri Sarah Liyana on their respective divorce cases. Information on the next court hearing to finalise the divorce has not been disclosed.
The sudden separation news came as a shock to many of their fans as there had been no indication that the celebrity couple’s relationship was on the rocks. The only possible indication that there was trouble in paradise is that neither the comedian nor his soon-to-be-ex-wife appeared on each other’s social media posts for quite some time. After a quick search, the last time the whole family posed for a photo together was during the Hari Raya celebrations back in April.
At the time of writing, Harith Iskander has yet to comment on the news of his divorce. The two former love birds tied the knot back in June 2010 and were blessed with 3 children – Zander Xayne (14) Alessandra Jayne (11) and Zydane Zayne (9). Guess we’ll have to wait and see to find out what actually happened between them.
