Chinese New Year is almost here, and while outfits, decorations and red packets may already be sorted, there is one more important thing to prepare for, the food. From symbolic treats to indulgent desserts and refreshing drinks, brands across Malaysia are rolling out festive menus designed to bring a little extra ong to your celebrations.

Whether you are planning reunion meals, casual catch-ups with friends, or simply want to treat yourself during the festive period, these limited-time Chinese New Year food promos are worth checking out. Here is a round-up of what to eat, sip and toss this season.

1. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf goes all out this Chinese New Year with new drinks, desserts and savoury bites. Highlights include the White Chocolate Dry Iced Americano and Spanish Dry Iced Americano, offering a bold yet refreshing way to sip through the festive season.

On the food front, expect an extensive line-up such as Matcha Tiramisu for Two, Pistachio Crunch Brownie, Ube Cheesecake and Orange Rocher Cake. Savoury options like Aglio Olio with Salted Egg Chicken and Huat Chicken Banh Mi ensure there is something for every craving at the festive table.

Inside Scoop brings back its playful Ice Cream Yee Sang, giving the traditional toss a cool and creamy twist. Featuring six scoops of ice cream and nine different toppings, it is designed for sharing and celebrating together.

This season also sees the return of fan-favourite flavours alongside a new addition. Matcha Red Bean, Pistachio Tiramisu and Tau Fu Fa are all available for takeaway via Grab and the brand’s online store.

3. Fluffed Cafe

Fluffed’s most popular seasonal creation, the Prosperity NianGao Waffle, makes a much-anticipated return this Chinese New Year. Crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside, the waffle is filled with Nian Gao and paired with Da Hong Pao tea ice cream, mango passion fruit purée, tea jelly and a playful mikan sphere. To complete the festive experience, the Yuzu Mikan Sparkling Tea offers a light and refreshing contrast, blending fragrant yuzu, juicy Japanese mikan and sparkling black tea for a bright, citrus-forward sip. Both items are available for a limited time from 5th January to 8th March.

Adding to the celebration is Fluffed’s Pearl of Orient cake, a refined festive centrepiece perfect for reunion tables. This Earl Grey chiffon cake is layered with citrus passion marmalade and Earl Grey mousse, then topped with a whole Japanese mikan, representing a golden symbol of wealth, luck and wholeness. Delicate yet indulgent, the 6-inch cake is priced at RM118 and is designed as an edible fortune bag to welcome a prosperous new year.

4. Salad Atelier

Available in personal, medium and large sets, these Yee Sang options are ideal for solo celebrations or group gatherings. Medium and large sets also come in premium red boxes, making them suitable for gifting.

5. Gong Cha
