Beloved for its pioneering all-inclusive escapes since the 1950s, Club Med today breaks new ground in Malaysia with the launch of its first city-based padel partnership, unveiled in collaboration with House of Padel at The Campus, Ampang. This marks the first time Club Med translates its signature sports and lifestyle approach from resort destinations into an urban setting.
Designed as more than a place to play, the Club Med padel experience combines a visible presence of the iconic lifestyle brand as well as a year-round programme centred on movement, connection and community, reflecting how sport is lived at Club Med resorts: welcoming, inclusive, and meant to be shared. By launching the concept in Kuala Lumpur, Club Med creates a bridge between everyday city life and destination-led travel experiences.
The collaboration includes Club Med’s first city-based padel partnership, the introduction of Club Med-branded junior padel experiences, and the upcoming launch of the House of Padel Kids’ School by Club Med on 14th February, designed to introduce young players to the sport. It also supports regular tournaments in Kuala Lumpur, with Club Med holidays as prizes, as well as padel retreats hosted at selected Club Med resorts.
Later this year, House of Padel will also host the Malaysian chapter of the Club Med Padel Cup, following the success of the brand’s first regional edition in 2025 in Club Med Bali, which gathered winning teams from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Sydney, and Bangkok.
“For more than 75 years, sport has been one of the ways Club Med helps people connect, progress and feel their best. Through our partnership with House of Padel, we engage people where they play in the city, and we extend that passion into our resorts. In turn, the resort experience inspires them to continue playing when they return home,” said Olivier Monceau, General Manager of Club Med Singapore & Malaysia. “This creates a natural, ongoing journey around sport, travel and shared moments, fully aligned with our ‘That’s l’Esprit Libre’ philosophy and our ambition to build Club Med as a lifestyle brand rooted in movement and connection.”
The launch also reflects Club Med’s continued expansion of padel across Asia, with Malaysia seeing new developments this year. At Club Med Cherating, the brand’s first Malaysian resort, padel is already part of the all inclusive sports offering. Padel will also be introduced at Club Med’s upcoming resort in Borneo, Sabah, scheduled to open later this year, further raising the brand’s padel footprint in the country.
“At Club Med, we see our guests as communities brought together by shared passions. What resonated with us in this partnership was padel’s natural ability to connect people across ages and levels, in a way that feels social and welcoming,” said Alice Nguyen, Marketing Director Club Med Singapore & Malaysia. “By engaging around this passion point in the city, we can build deeper connections with our guests and offer them an extraordinary playground across destinations, where sport, travel and shared moments come together.”
