It’s a boy and a girl!
George and Amal Clooney are now parents to a pair of lovely twins. In a statement, the couple’s rep said, “This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine.”
They jokingly added, “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”
56-year-old George and his 39-year-old human rights attorney wife tied the knot in September 2014 in Venice, Italy surrounded by family, friends, and famous faces such as Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, and Emily Blunt.
In February, the first-time father (and 2-time Sexiest Man Alive) recently opened up about being a father on French television program “Rencontres de Cinema”. He said, “We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure. We’ve sort of embraced it all with arms wide open.”
According to PEOPLE, a source close to the couple said, “This is very good news. George is going to be a great father of twins.”
Besides that, Amal’s boss, Geoffrey Robertson QC of Doughty Street Chambers, said, “All I can say is that it’s a great co-production.”
