Is it a boy or a girl? Chryseis Tan (陈雪铃) and Faliq Nasimuddin threw a baby shower to reveal the gender of their first child.
Despite 98% of the couple’s family and friends betting on a boy, they got it wrong. Turns out, the new parents will be welcoming a little princess in the coming weeks.
The happy occasion took place at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Kuala Lumpur where families from both sides were in attendance. The baby shower theme was white where both Chryseis and Faliq wore a matching colour to complement each other.
The event place was filled with light blue and pink balloons. Many showed up to the event in blue (we’re assuming they were instructed to wear an outfit to guess the baby gender) – including grandparents from both sides.
The baby shower was truly a spectacular event with various blue and pink props and desserts – Gucci bags, Mickey and Minnie Mouse 3-tier cake, Krispy Kreme donuts, and more. There was also a stunning flower wall that looked super Instagrammable as a backdrop.
The moment of truth came when Tan Sri Vincent Tan, Puan Sri Esther Tan together with Puan Sri Zaleha Ismail stepped in front to pop 3 giant black balloons. The grandparents were visibly surprised to see the colour pink.
