Chrissy Teigen is currently pregnant with baby number three, together with her husband John Legend. The couple have been eagerly waiting for the birth of their new baby boy.
However, her recent pregnancy has been having quite a few complications and the “Lip Sync Battle” host is currently hospitalised as she “never stopped bleeding.” Unfortunately, Chrissy has been experiencing multiple difficulties with this pregnancy and was hospitalised in Los Angeles on Sunday (27th September).
Prior to her hospitalisation, the former model was on strict bed rest for weeks, in order to ensure the safety of the baby. While she was in hospital, the queen of the internet took to her Instagram stories yesterday (28th September) to share her experiences and explain how her condition got worse.
“We all know I’ve been on bed rest for a few weeks and that’s like super serious bed rest. I get up to quickly pee and that’s it. I would take baths twice a week, no showering, just as little as possible,” she said while resting on a hospital bed.
“I was always, always bleeding. I’m about halfway through pregnancy and the blood has been going on for like a month – maybe a little less than a month,” explains Chrissy. “But we’re talking more than your period, girls, and definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot and it’s usually fine, but mine was a lot.”
She then went onto elaborate why her most recent bleeding was more alarming than usual by comparing it to a faucet that had been turned on low. “It was at the point today where it was just never stopping bleeding.” The 34-year-old mom continued by adding, “In the simplest of terms, we can say that my placenta is really, really weak.”
While the TV personality’s pregnancy situation seems quite scary, Chrissy explains that she “feels really good” about the baby boy being healthy. The happy mother stated the infant is “growing so much stronger than Luna or Miles. He moves a lot, so much earlier than they ever did.”
Her iconic husband, John, is also lovingly by his wife’s side through the difficult pregnancy. Chrissy even posted a video of the Grammy award winning singer preparing his “nightstand sammies” for his hospitalised wife. Chrissy later posted the cutest clip of John fast asleep on a chair beside her hospital bed.
Couple goals!
Chrissy and John welcomed Luna and Miles through IVF after struggling to conceive naturally. However, for their third child, they were able to conceive the baby naturally.
We hope that the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly for the pair and, we simply cannot wait to meet the newest addition to their beautiful family!
