(Video) We Got To Unwind At The Chalet Edelweiss – Here’s What Went Down

From 21st through 24th of October, Edelweiss, a premium wheat beer that was born in the Alps, debuted its first-ever Chalet Edelweiss Unwind, an outdoor experience that lets people escape from their busy city lives and discover nature while glamping and participating in a number of exciting activities and enjoying live musical performances.

“We want to invite city-folk to disconnect from stress and embrace the playful side of life. With Chalet Edelweiss Unwind, we are creating an exclusive and fresh experience for our consumers in which they can unwind and reconnect with nature. Ultimately, we want them to share a truly unique moment with their friends, family, and loved ones,” said Archana Sridhara, Marketing Manager, International Premium Brands.

Chalet Edelweiss Unwind offered Day Pass and Camper Pass (2D1N), a luxury experience with a variety of amenities and activities that made for a wonderful weekend. Doors opened at 5 p.m. on the 21st and at 3 p.m. on the 22nd and 23rd. It’s safe to say that both day pass holders and campers were welcomed with a schedule of enjoyable activities.

Essentially, we got to experience 3 main genres of activities during our time at the Chalet Edelweiss:

1. Elevated Glamping

Those who had a Camper Pass were able to spend the night in Genting Highlands. The Wheat Tent, the Hops Tent, and the Mountain Herb Tent gave campers a taste of an upscale camping experience and were appropriately named after the essential components of Edelweiss.

2. Fun Games & Physical Adventures

A variety of entertaining games, including “Giant Connect 4”, “Giant Wall Ball Maze,” “Crossnet,” and “Cornhole,” were available to day pass holders and campers.

Adventure-seekers were urged to through the tree-lined driveway which opens up to the idyllic, sun-lit plains of the Resorts World Awana Driving Range at Genting Highlands where the average temperature is a comfortable, crisp 22°C (definitely something you’ll never get to enjoy in the city).

In addition, those who prefer the outdoors could take a trail walk to discover the lush splendour of the Montane Timber Forest in the Awana BIO Park and get up and personal with some of the forest’s enormous trees while taking in the magnificent views of the Awana Golf Course. Additionally, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about forest preservation and take part in the transplanting of young, native timbers, which is essential to preserving a Sustainable Mountain Timber Forest.

3. Live Musical Performances

Edelweiss promised us a line-up of only the most diverse music to end our day and they definitely did not fall short. Jeremy Zucker, an American singer-songwriter and producer who has had international hits with songs like “comethru” and “you were good to me,” performed as the event’s main act.

Chinese-American singer and composer Karencici (“Do Do Do,” “Kiss Me”) made an appearance with her R&B songs. With his flawless singing and appealing lyrics, Dermot Kennedy (“Something to Someone,” “Power”), the man who went from busking on the streets to winning hearts around the world, connected with his audience.

Local performers that have dominated the stages of national and international music festivals included Jumero (“Dancing with the Stars,” “Growing Cold”) and the all-female group Crinkle Cut (“Promises,” “Slow Dance”) during the event. TY:DEL (“Apocalypse,” “Breathin”) is a local genre-fluid band that began as a friend group and has won the hearts of young people. Next up is Lost Spaces (“35.mm,” “fake, guitars”), whose love of R&B and soul served as the inspiration for their musical works.

Sunset DJs such as Daaliah, Vanns Ngo, and Xulapsap also took us on a journey of only the most vibey tracks that hyped up our nights to the max.

It would be a MAJOR understatement for us to just say “we had fun”. So instead of attempting to describe how incredibly wonderful our day was, we’ll just show you how we got to relax and have a good time while we were there:
