With the pandemic confining people from all around the world in a lockdown, this has undoubtedly brought everyone’s life to a standstill. And it includes the lives of our fellow celebrities too. Some of them even ended the lockdown last year, sporting a baby bump!
As a result, during the first half of 2021, we received news of celebrities welcoming children. Regardless if it’s their first child or not, these celebrities have indeed found the silver lining amidst the chaos last year. Gal Gadot
The “Wonder Woman” star is now a mother of 3! The 36-year-old actor welcomed her third child, Daniella with her husband, Jaron Varsano. The couple has been happily married for 13 years and they’re also parents to 9-year-old daughter, Alma and 4-year-old daughter Maya.
Gadot took to Instagram to share the happy news by posting an adorable family picture that features her husband and their daughters on a bed together. Alma can also be seen cradling the newborn. She wrote, “My sweet family. I couldn’t be more grateful and happy (and tired). We are all so excited to welcome Daniella into our family. I’m sending all of you love and health. GG.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Former “Suits” star, Meghan Markle alongside her husband, Prince Harry, have announced the birth of their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on June 4th at 11:40 a.m. at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif. This would be Markle’s second child after her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, whose family nickname is Lilibet whereas her middle name, Diana, honours her late grandmother, the Princess of Wales. A statement released by Markle and Prince Harry says, “On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”
Amber Heard
Amber Heard recently made the big announcement via Instagram and Twitter that she has secretly welcomed a baby girl in April 2021. The post revealed that the 35-year-old actress welcomed her first child, Oonagh Paige Heard with the help of a surrogate. In that heartfelt post, Heard mentioned how she decided to have a child 4 years ago and wanted to do it “on her own terms”. Oonagh’s middle name was included in honour of Heard’s mother, Paige Parsons who passed away last year. Amber wrote, “I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”
J Balvin and Valentina Ferrer
Famed reggaeton singer, J Balvin recently welcomed his newborn with his girlfriend Valentina Ferrer. They are now a family of 3! Ferrer confirmed the arrival of her first child with Balvin on Instagram on 1st July. The post featured a black-and-white photo of the new mom’s hands wrapped around her newborn’s small feet with a caption of, “4 days of the best Love,” complete with heart emojis. They have yet to confirm the newborn’s name or gender yet.
