There are tons of exciting events happening this long Merdeka weekend. However, none is as exciting as the RIUH Merdeka event – a 30-hour non-stop celebration honouring Malaysia’s rich heritage and modern creativity!
In conjunction with this year’s Independence Day, the Ministry of Communications, through MyCreative Ventures, are holding the RIUH Merdeka event. The free event will take place at the Tapak Parkir Monumen Alaf Baru in Putrajaya. What sets this event apart from the rest is that it will run non-stop for 30 hours, from 30th August (Saturday), 12pm until 31st August (Sunday), 6pm.
RIUH Merdeka aims to further instill the patriotic spirit and love for Malaysia through arts, culture and creativity. The event is also a platform for local brands and businesses to showcase their work to the public, with more than 80 vendors offering various products. Not only that, but there will also be exciting performances from local stars, including Yuna, Misha Omar and more!
