As the glorious moments of Merdeka and Malaysia Day approach, the vibrant spirit of ‘Malaysia Madani’ calls us to gather and celebrate. Embrace this special time by creating cherished memories with your loved ones and diving into the essence of unity and patriotism at Pavilion REIT Malls.

Get ready to savour the finest Malaysian cuisine, experience the magic of the latest movies together, and discover a multitude of ways to infuse the Merdeka vibe into your holiday. Here’s your ultimate guide to enjoying the season with style:

1. The Marvel Of Tiffins

Tiffins symbolise unity and multiculturalism, a familiar sight in many Malaysian households. Intermark Mall teams up with Jeiwa for their Sehati Sejiwa campaign, a celebration of Merdeka’s 66th year. This collaboration provides underprivileged artists and people with disabilities a platform through a training programme, crafting a stunning art installation using tiffins. Witness the exceptional works of award-winning artist Nur Amiratul Farahin bt Ab. Rahman in her first mini exhibition until 17t September, 2023.

2. Championing Local Heroes

Check out the Living Circles Concept Pop-Up at Intermark Mall, a lively market featuring local artisans and SMEs. It’s a colourful tribute to creativity, community, and our shared love for Malaysia. Dive into the Happy Dumpy pop-up offering bags and pouches inspired by Malaysian dishes. Also, meet Muar Leather Craft, a group of boys from a rural community showcasing their leather craft talents as part of an initiative to learn and earn.

Unleash Your Inner Artist

Join Intermark Mall’s Sehati Sejiwa workshops and express your Malaysian spirit through art. From fan and batik painting to cupcake decorating, there’s something for everyone in the family. Get creative and embrace your Malaysian pride!

  • Fan painting workshop: 7th September 2023, 12pm to 3pm, Ground Floor
  • Batik painting workshop: 2nd September 2023, 11.30am to 2.30pm, Ground Floor
  • Cupcake decoration workshop: 16th September 2023, 11.30am to 2.30pm, Ground Floor

Artistry Meets Flavour

Submit your artwork for a chance to have it painted onto a tiffin, and win prizes up to RM1,700 plus a RM300 cash prize. And that’s not all – shoppers can snag cash vouchers worth up to RM10,000 at Intermark Mall by spending above RM150 in a single receipt.

3. Sustainability Takes Centre Stage

Pavilion KL’s ‘Pavilion Loves Sustainability’ campaign joins forces with Spritzer to celebrate Merdeka’s 66th year. An art installation featuring 2,000 upcycled Spritzer bottles graces Pavilion KL, reflecting their commitment to sustainability. Join in at Spritzer’s pop-up to pledge for a greener Malaysia by bringing your own recycled bottles.

Shoppers are also encouraged to bring their own recycled bottles to participate in the pledge to a more sustainable Malaysia at Spritzer’s pop-up located at Connection (by Quivo, Level 3)!
