Ed Sheeran finally made his long-awaited “Carpool Karaoke” debut on Tuesday (6th June) with James Corden!
The 2 British entertainers belted out a couple of his mega hits like “Shape of You”, “Sing,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” (a song which Sheeran co-written), and “Castle on the Hill”.
Besides that, Sheeran even showed Corden that he could stuff 55 Maltesers (a popular British candy) in his mouth at once! Wow, that’s one really special talent 😉
Another highlight of the video is when Sheeran talks about his hilarious and “wild” night out with Justin Bieber in Tokyo. After some drinks at a “filthy bar”, the 2 stars ended up in a golf course.
He shared, “(Bieber) put a golf ball in his mouth and said, ‘Go on, hit it out!’ And I was pretty hammered. And then I was like, ‘Focus, focus, focus. You can’t hit him.’ I cracked him across the face. He was actually really cool about it.'”
Ouch, that sounds really painful.
The 26-year-old crooner also explained the reason why he ditched his phone. “I’d wake up every morning and there would be like 50 messages and none of them would say ‘hey, how are you doing?'” he said. “It’d be like, ‘Can I have this? Can you lend me this? Can you do this? Can I get this?’ and it was fine at the beginning but then it just got really really draining.”
In other news, Sheeran will be holding his “Divide” tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore this November.
