We really, really, really, really, really think this week could be the best week ever because Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen will finally make her Malaysian debut at MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015 at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon this Saturday (12th September).
With less than a week to go, Universal Music Malaysia is excited to announce that an autograph session will also be held for the “I Really Like You” singer to promote her latest album, “E.MO.TION”.
“E.MO.TION” is the follow-up to Jepsen’s US debut album “Kiss”. With a sense of pure feeling and passion inspired by classic 80s pop records, the album finds Jepsen conjuring up pop’s most thrilling paradoxes as she delivers songs that are both carefree and introspective, tender and bold, sensitive, and self-assured.
She teamed up with songwriters like Sia, Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange), and Ariel Rechtshaid in bringing “E·MO·TION” to life. She also joined forces with producers such as Mattman & Robin, Greg Kurstin, Carl Falk, and Rami Yacoub.
Jepsen says:
The one intention I had going into making this album was to take my time and create something I was really proud of-something that showed sides of me that I hadn’t ever revealed in my music before.

The album’s lead single, “I Really Like You”, is a Billboard Top 40 hit praised as “pop perfection” by BuzzFeed and “mind-blowing, fantastic, catchy-as-hell pop” by Idolator.
The 2nd single,”Run Away with Me,” was also named the standout track of the album by many critics.
Prior to her Malaysian debut at MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015, Jepsen will be meeting her dedicated Malaysian fans during the upcoming autograph session at Sunway Pyramid Mall this Friday.

Fans will be able to participate in the autograph session by purchasing the Deluxe Version of her latest album, “E.MO.TION” from the following CD RAMA outlets:

The autograph session will be conducted on first come first serve basis, and it is limited to one album per person only. Fans will also get to redeem 2 MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015 tickets when they purchase the album. However, there are limited tickets available only.
