A barista once told us that latte art is the science of milk.

Latte art is a technique to decorate and create different patterns in a coffee cup and this form of art is believed to have started around the mid-1980s. It can be created by a mixture of crema (a brownish foam that forms on the top of a cup of espresso) and microfoam (milk foamed using a steam wand).

The coffee trend has become widely popular in the F&B industry and a study shows that consumers are willing to pay more for a picture perfect cuppa. From free pours to 3D latte art, here are 7 cafes in Klang Valley that are known for their stunning latte art:

1. Coffee Amo @ Petaling Street

Located at Petaling Street aka Chinatown, Coffee Amo is a popular coffee place that serves amazing coffee that comes with adorable 3D coffee art. Coffee enthusiasts would also be delighted to know that the cafe sources its beans from Ethiopia, Brazil, Costa Rica, the Jamaica Blue Mountain, and Italy. Besides that, the cafe is quiet and welcoming, making it a great “rest stop” for those who need a little break from work and shopping.

Psst, did you know “Amo” translates to love in Italian?
