It’s no secret that people are always trying various ways to make easy money and become rich as fast as possible. However, only a few have succeeded. But just how exactly do these selected few become millionaires in such a short time?

Originally posted on the B40 Buat Perangai Apa Hari Ini Facebook Group, ex-founder Emma Harshaw unveiled some of the ways millionaires made their money by selling Timbang Kilo products. The entrepreneur clarified her intention was to simply share her experiences in the beauty cosmetic industry rather than expose any company or individuals involved.

According to the businesswoman, these are how everything was allegedly done when she started her business:

  1. Founder Community: She was first recruited by a friend to join a ‘founder community’ in Pantai Timur in which she was told she has the potential and looks to be successful.
  2. Supplier: She also revealed that some celebrity entrepreneurs and millionaires get their supplies from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) cosmetic factories with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. Others opted for Thai factories as they were cheaper. She also had no idea how the Timbang Kilo products managed to be smuggled into Malaysia from Thailand.
  3. Discussion: The ex-founder started her own face cream brand where she also revealed that the local factory she was with will handle getting the Ministry of Health (MoH) notification. If she were to do business with a Thai factory, there was a risk of them using unsafe materials in the products.
  4. Capital: The business owner made a loan of RM40K in order to afford the initial product and marketing costs which in total was RM35k.
  5. Database: Emma said that the community received a database shared by their agents and that stockists would have to switch to selling a new product once they’re done selling another.
  6. Marketing: It was understood that some founders borrowed or rented luxurious cars and houses from other successful entrepreneurs and millionaires to be used to promote their products as it made them appear successful as well.
  7. Sales: The former founder revealed that her agent helped forge fake reviews and marketing in order to attract and convince customers into buying her products. She made a gross profit of RM90k and a net profit of RM40k. She said she would have made more if she used a Thai factory which explained why it was easy for some to become millionaires virtually overnight.

Despite doing well in the industry, Emma decided to quit due to the guilty conscious. Luckily, she has settled all the loans and payments before leaving the industry for good. She ended her post by urging MoH to look into the Timbang Kilo products as what was sent for testing and approval may not be the same ones being sold in stores.

This is a lot of information to take in. What do you think about all this?
